Clay Taster - 3 Hours
Try hand-building and throwing on the wheel
Groups up to 7 people
In this 3 hour workshop you will be shown a hand-building technique that you can personalise. You will be guided step-by-step through construction, decoration and how to finish your pot.
You will also get to try throwing on the potters wheel. We will guide you step-by-step through centring the clay and shaping it into a pot or bowl.
We aim for everyone to finish the day with a hand-built project and a wheel thrown pot.
Price - £95 per person
Throwing Taster - 2 Hours
These workshops are specifically for people who want to try throwing on the potters wheel, or who have thrown before and want to improve their skills.
Maximum 4 people
You will be guided step-by-step through each stage, making 2 pots which you can personalise, choosing pot or bowl shapes.
After the workshop, we tidy up the bases of your wheel-thrown pots. Your work will then be dried out, fired and glazed for you. Ready to collect approximately 6 weeks later.

Slip-Casting Taster - 4 Hours
These workshops are for people who want to try using porcelain casting-slip (liquid porcelain) by pouring it into plaster moulds.
Maximum 3 people per workshop
You will learn how to pour casting-slip, how to colour your slip, and how to create different designs using pouring, painting and resist techniques.
You will then learn how to finish your work ready for firing.
Work will be fired and glazed in a transparent glaze, ready to collect about 6 weeks later
Price - £135 per person
Please note - We only store pots for 3 months
Uncollected pots will be thrown away
