Clay Taster - 3 Hours
Try hand-building and throwing on the wheel
Maximum 8 people
In this 3 hour workshop you will be shown a hand-building technique that you can personalise. You will be guided step-by-step through construction, decoration and how to finish your pot.
You will also get to try throwing on the potters wheel. We will guide you step-by-step through shaping the clay into a pot or bowl.
You will finish the day with a hand-built project and a thrown pot. Your work will then be dried out, fired and glazed for you. Ready to collect approximately 6 weeks later.
Price - £95 per person
Throwing Taster - 2 Hours
These workshops are for people who want to try throwing on the potters wheel, or who have thrown before and want to improve their skills.
Maximum 4 people
You will be guided step-by-step through each stage, centring, pulling up and shaping. You will get to make 2 pots which you can personalise, choosing pot or bowl shapes.
After the workshop, we tidy up the bases of your wheel-thrown pots. Your work will then be dried out, fired and glazed for you. Ready to collect approximately 6 weeks later.

Slip-Casting Taster - 4 Hours
Learn how to cast with porcelain casting-slip (liquid porcelain) by pouring it into plaster moulds.
Maximum 4 people
You will learn three different casting techniques using the studio bowl and cup moulds. You will learn how to colour your slip, and how to create different designs using pouring, painting and resist techniques.
You will then learn how to finish your work ready for firing.
Work will be fired and glazed in a transparent glaze, ready to collect about 4 to 5 weeks later.
Price - £125 per person

Uncollected pots will be rehomed or thrown away if we don’t hear from you
