Throwing Courses
Suitable for beginners, improvers and intermediates
Maximum 4 people meaning you get lots of help and support
Beginners and Improvers will work on centring clay, pulling up straight-sided cylinders, then shaping. As you progress, we will practice opening cylinders into bowls, pulling taller cylinders and collaring necks to create bottles, and possibly working with bigger pieces of clay.
Intermediates will focus on improving technique, exploring new forms, and working with larger pieces of clay.
You can keep your 3 best pieces for firing and glazing, the rest we will cut in half to see where you are doing well and where you can improve. Additional pots can be fired at £10 per piece to cover firing and glazing.

Wednesday Evenings 7 - 9:30pm - 22nd 29th July, 5th and 12th Aug
The course includes all materials and tools, plus the firing and glazing of your 3 best pieces
Feel free to bring an apron and a drink
